The tradition of Catholic education is based on Jesus' command to his disciples to "Go out and teach all nations". This commissioning highlights the importance of forming the whole child through a balanced program of spirituality, academics, athletics, and socialization. The recognition of this sacred duty informs all aspects of our education and makes prayer central to everything we do. Recognizing that each person discovers their deepest identity in Jesus Christ, our school values the opportunity to share and celebrate our Catholic Faith.
Many years ago, my parents moved to North Carolina and they made a sacrafice to send me to Catholic School, infact they made many sacrafices to ensure that my 5 brothers and sister all had the best education. I will always be grateful to them. As Pastor, I get the opportunity now to honor my parent's sacrafices by ensuring that our Catholic School provides children with the best opportunities, giving them a supportive and nurturing environment so that they can learn, achieve and mature. I have a personal committment to see that our Catholic School thrives and I am inspired by the community of parents and professional educators who sacrafice to make our school so great. This community, founded on Jesus Christ, is one of the reasons why Catholic Schools out perform time and time again any other model of education. Our School boasts the highest accreditation through the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), known to be one of the toughest accreditation standards a school can achieve. We maintain small class sizes and are ranked nationally through the Iowa Test of Basic Skills (ITBS). The school curriculum is based on the goals and objectives both in the North Carolina Standard Course of Study (NCSCS) and the National Standards for Language Arts identified by the National Teachers of English (NTE) and the International Reading Association (IRA).
